Hourly Rate - £11.07-£12.58

Background
North Hertfordshire is a large rural district with approximately 125,000 residents with four historic towns, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston and the world’s first Garden City at Letchworth. The Council has a clear vision: to put people first and deliver sustainable services, to enable a brighter future together.
The post holder will be a customer service expert acting as the public face and voice of North Herts Council to all their customers regarding a multitude of issues relating to the delivery of Council services.
The post holder will be responsible for resolving as many customer enquiries as possible at the point of enquiry, retaining responsibility for the enquiry until it is resolved, tracking these enquiries, chasing if necessary, and bringing the enquiry to a satisfactory conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- To operate professionally as an individual and team member for the benefit of the customer at all times, regularly contributing ideas, suggestions and feedback to Team.
- Leaders thus providing a valuable contribution to the effectiveness and continued success of the CSC.
- To keep up to date with developments, services and information relating to the CSC and the rest of the Council to ensure appropriate and timely information is given to customers.
- To competently operate a number of computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook programmes, the Council’s CRM system, telephony systems (including switchboard and call distribution), websites/intranet.
- To take a flexible approach to the changing patterns of work within the CSC and undertake other duties consistent with the job purpose and grade of post.
Qualifications and Experience
- GCSEs or equivalent experience.
- Customer Services experience.
- IT Literate.
